Blended Materials

Post by OBI_Ron » Tue Dec 11, 2007 1:26 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am using an image on a plane to create some shadows. After searching, I found the grass tutorial, and used the manual editing XML technique to get the results.

However, I see that there is a blended material in the Blendigo GUI. Does the blended material work in the GUI? I have tried every combination I could think of, each time separating the materials, but I never get anything like the manually edited xml from the grass tutorial. What am I missing?

Make two materials (these will be you A and B) set the "F" button for both in Blender to ensure they don't dissapear when not attached to an object.
Make a third and assign it to the target object (this will be your blend material).

Open Blendigo script and edit the A and B textures as desired, then select the third material and set it's type to "BLEND". Use the blend mat gui to select the A and B textures.

Sorry can't do screen shots or anything as I am at work.

WytRaven,

OK, I got it now! Thanks for the help. I actually only needed one fake material because I only want it for the shadows. Thanks again!
