Umm... it's still working fine...

When you first said that your bump exponent was 1, I thought it was a typo, cuz that's a lot of bump. (I see now tho that it works quite nicely)

So when I started it with 1, I figured it'd give me your problem. D'oh
I can't figure out what could cause that problem... it looked quite funky. You might wanna re-doublecheck all of your settings to make sure there isn't something screwy with them.

And that gradient thing you were talking about... yeah, I had noticed that during that first render. It kinda looks like it's just the bumpmap not being even lighting all the way up. (brighter/darker on the top/bottom)

I suppose you could try rebooting, (unless you're still in the middle of things, then don't worry about it) but I really don't quite see how that could cause that problem. I could be wrong, dunno exactly.

Yeah, a setting of '1' does look pretty nice nice, but I was just using that as a default starting point. Man, that's weird. This fluid thing is still baking, it's been doing so for hours, because I want it to look nice, and my domain is pretty big. Logically, I should be able to reboot and render this thing just like you did. I have the texture in a folder on my desktop, does that matter? I've heard some people say you have to have it in an indigo folder, but I think that's been resolved by now.

I don't think it's too big a deal where the texture is... I *thought* it was freaking out when I had spaces in the path, but it was just complaining about the fact that it was a jpeg. (d'oh)

I really don't see how rebooting could make a difference... but let the fluid sim finish baking first...

hehe, don't worry about it. I'm actually still quite n00bish myself... this makes me feel all cool and important.

Well, I should probably get off to bed, (it's 0:30 here...) but I'll be able to help more tomorrow.

@ Alex: The only difference I see is that you're using the latest unstable version of Blendigo, and I'm using v0.9, but that shouldn't be the problem, since other people have been able to use bump maps going even further back. I tried a few different things today, but no matter what The bump map keeps doing that. I know it has to do with scaling the UV image so that the texture tiles. The texture tiles fine, but the bump doesn't follow, even though it's supposed to be following the UV. I'm going to make a new forum thread since the topic of this original issue has been resolved, thanks to you.

Hey, no problem.

Ok, I didn't realize you weren't using the same version as me... yeah, I'm using 1.0.4 with blendigo 1.0.1. I suppose that *might* have something to do with it, but I dunno.

Good luck getting it to work, and I'm glad to help anytime. :D

P.S. Drop into IRC sometime... it can be easier to figure things out there.
