how do i use nkdata files?

hey all, just found out about nkdata files for creating metal finishes on things.. how would i do that (in the latest version of blender)? radiance's tutorial told me to put the file name of the nkdata file as the name of the material.. but this didnt work for me.. does anybody know how to do it?

If you use Blendigo (like me) you can find the field of NK data: if you decide to use a phong material = glossy+ metallic in this field you must put Au.nk for gold Cr.nk for chrome etc... you can find all nk materials in your indigo inst directory under nkdata folder.

I'd use the new tutorial in the Documentation Wiki. It has all the information that you need to use Blendigo and nk data.

Also, someone started to determine which NK files actually worked in Indigo. Very helpful.
