Blank black renders in Blendigo 09t4s

Post by teamonster » Thu Aug 16, 2007 7:50 am

Hi, I installed Blendigo_v09t4s.exe. and I manually unpacked indigo 09 test 4. I double checked the path in the conf. file

I have created a basic scene with a cube and a plane. The exporter comes up with a very basic interface. I click on export and the indigo renderer window comes up, it processes the data without error and then I get a nice black blank screen.

I've tried different materials on the cube and plane and even used a sun and 'regular' lamp in Blender. No change.

Any ideas?

Which lighting did you set?

regular lamps get ignored, sun will get exported, when you set that to "Environment and Sun" - but as a standard setting, it's on background light, with the useful value "black" which means, no light at all...

Thanks Kram1032. I found the menu for that. I've used an earlier version of an indigo exporter. I usually use the bottom window for scripts and it was off the top of the screen! Silly.

If you wanted to use emitter meshes, how would I set that up?

1) Make your emitter
2) Make it having an "Emit" Material, in Material section of the export GUI.

Check your normals, for that ;) - Ah, and "Light" is NOT a material (except Textured Emitter), don't be irritated, by that.
