Blendigo for small display resolutions

Post by SmartDen » Wed Jun 06, 2007 4:10 am

I was asked for a Blendigo version that fits to small resolution(about 1024x768). So i have rearranged a bit its GUI. Here is the result. Mayne it can be useful for other too, because it takes round 2/3 of old place.
However. Comments and suggestion please.

EDIT:
- renamed script to "... beta2s" (s = small), because it's not really new version
- Toggle material button if other button pressed *fixed*

I'll try it immediately.

Nice one ! :D
I can even imagine  that the "tonemap" page can be fusioned to the "renderer" or "system" page, and then the "materials" page could go up as 1th page-tag. ->
"Materials" "Camera" "Environment" "Renderer" "System"

Great Smartden! Thanks for this version. Perfect for older laptops ;)

Nice reorganization of stuff.

mmm, when I launch the exporter it loads fine, but ass soon as I "mouse" over" its interface I get a python error. Here's the console:

Code: Select all

Compiled with Python version 2.5.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
----------------------
BLENDIGO v0.8 beta 2
----------------------
  Windows-platform: win32 os.sep: \
  indigo path: C:\indigo_08\indigo.exe
scene.getActiveObject() deprecated!
        use scene.objects.active instead
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 2414, in event
File "<string>", line 1059, in materialEvent
NameError: global name 'activeObjectMat0' is not defined
Still, the other blendigo works perfect with the same scene.
:? :?
EDITED: noooooooo! now not even the other version works!!!
Something must've screwed up my installation. I wonder what. But I hope it's really some deprecated command and an easy bugfix ;)

Hi Guys!

Just tried opening other scenes with the exporter and it's working fine, as well as the blendigo SSS variant; so it's definitely something wrong with my scene. I read something about erased objects or something that remain in memory. I had a plane in layer 2 that I removed and started getting the error ever since. Anyone know something about this?

Regards,

Alvaro

Have you tried selecting an object before you open the exporter. That should fix it I think. Unless I am getting mixed up with a different error I got once, can't remember.

hehehe, yup, "butt" is the nice word ;)
And the girl is adorable! Someone should model her in 3d and do an animation. But let's get the topic on track a bit.

The script (when having something selected) is working great. It could even become the final version, replacing the big official blendigo. Just add Ono's (and users) latest sugesstions and it shall be purrrrfect! :D
