Realistic fog

Post by danyolgiax » Thu Apr 19, 2007 9:21 pm

Hi

I've created a scene with a partecipating media material fog like... now i want to set a non-uniform value for this material.

In the blendigo menu I found the "uniform" parameter under SSS... how it works? low value (0.1) is uniform?

Thanks

no.
"uniform" means, that the SSS EVERYTIME is uniformal white.
The other mode is "RPG" where you can define the scrattering colour....

"non-uniformal" in the way, YOU mean, isn't possible, except you're modelling it yourself ;)

yeah youd need a 3d texture to do that.
a uniform value of about 0.1 looks good for fog and stuff.
