sometimes black parts

Post by Macrob » Mon Apr 09, 2007 4:08 am

Hi!
I have a problem here: It depends on the position of the camera, if the is an black part in an object. The normals are correct (I hope).

these are normal-smoothing errors. afaik they appear if faces have a greater angle than, lets say, 30° to each other.
you could use an edgesplit-modifier or bevel the edges.

Thanks, it looks better now (edgesplit-modifier 30°>) :D
