[Req] 2° camera for preview
Hi all
would be nice to add a 2° camera to see very small details with a high resolution, could be useful for bump for exemple
thx

Re: [Req] 2° camera for preview
I have to ask: whats a 2* camera?
Also this should be over in bugs/requests

Sorry, Dougal2 could you move this topic to "Bug and Request"?Soup wrote:I have to ask: whats a 2* camera?

2° camera = 2° point of view. Another camera to focus material, to see details in close up.

Blender Exporter
Is the camera angle limited in blender ? It seems to me that you are requesting something that can be done by the user already, could you precise what uou are expecting Jambert ?
With a low camera angle and lens shift, you can do what you are requesting.

Re: [Req] 2° camera for preview
I'm requesting something for material editor, but it could be done in exporter. When you preview à materiel, would be nice to choose between two cameras. First one for general preview (sss, exponent, glossy, transparence, light intensity...) and a second one, very close-up, to see details like bump, scratch... Today it's hard to see difference between two bump values from 0.1mm to 0.2 mm.CTZn wrote:Blender Exporter

Re: [Req] 2° camera for preview
I get your point now. It could be the same camera with two presets, one being hard coded (the default preview camera).
Makes sense, belongs here
(or in B&R, but it's definitly Indigo related).

Okay just to make it clear... are you using 2° as "two degrees" (FoV or sth) or as "a second cam" (ordinal symbol)?
Re: [Req] 2° camera for preview
Maybe a second cam, but don't realy know the best way to do itPureSpider wrote:Okay just to make it clear... are you using 2° as "two degrees" (FoV or sth) or as "a second cam" (ordinal symbol)?

Re: [Req] 2° camera for preview
For my preview scene I setup such a cam which was a real close up of the "i" and the right part of the logo.
Basically it had the same rotation angles as the original cam and was just dragged around to show the desired area in closeup; check attachment for reference.

That's great, can you make test with a bumped material? Maybe to change angle isn't realy usefull, I don't know.PureSpider wrote:For my preview scene I setup such a cam which was a real close up of the "i" and the right part of the logo.
