[REQ] Global or object space texture mapping

Post by StompinTom » Wed Sep 08, 2010 6:54 am

Hey,

Since UV mapping absolutely everything sucks sometimes, would it be possible to implement a simple global texture mapping option? Very useful applications of this would be covering large expanses or complex objects such as walls with a subtle and repetitive texture, such as stucco.

I believe this is already doable with ISL, however it would be great just as a simple texturing option for materials with scale, offset and rotation parameters.
