Hi contegufo,

these HDRI's have quite a high dynamic range:

Enjoy. :)

Some cheating to see if the image get less noise: the walls and ceiling hava a similar light strenght to the outdoor, then the layers strenghts got adjusted.

In these examples I replaced sky & sun with an environment map, rendering 4 min.

Map used.

1) map not blurred
2) blurred map 6%
3) blurred map 12%
4) blurred map 25%
5) blurred map 50%

The map has been rotated by 60 ° to let in the light from the windows.

After over 20 hours here is the area of the floor where they appear caustics.

No noise and no fireflies!

Perhaps the standard value for LMP should be closer to 1 when rendering with MLT?

Currently 0.85

1? What benefits should give?

0.85 is closer to 1 than the standard value 0.4 or whatever. I didn't say 1, I said closer to 1.

Well, it all depends on what you are going for. If values close to 1 can help those noise levels disappear more over time, instead of sticking like with 0.45, then why not? :D Would put people on the right track from the start.

HI

Sky and Sun has been replaced with environment map blurred to 6%.
Less and less light enters are obvious caustics and lighting between objects with energy transport; what you see on the floor (exponent = 10) looks pretty.
After 4h. no noise and no fireflies.
