User interface updates and progress

If some clever way of doing this is there it would be nice if we could open another copy of our scene with different settings to compare. Sometimes i like to compare different looks. Not really anything of a tech expert but i assume it wouldnt use up too much of your system since you wouldn't have to actually render it multiple times. It would also be nice if we could do image compositing in said extra windows. Eg click to drag to change position of image, adjust perspective, etc.
