I just did the same benchmark on my AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ default 3Ghz
289300s/s thats only 46% of your speed

price: 120€ CPU + 50€ Mainboard + XXX€ RAM

OK thanks a lot for these explanation. So i think I will get a Win64 in order to not change too much my habits :lol:

679 Sample @ 12 minute that s insane! I need your computer(s?)!!!!!


I just tested the scene : 116 sample @12minute cooking, 109K sampl/second :oops: and 79°C displayed! that really hurts.

i7 are nice for single computer but expensive for clustering.

I just picked up i7 920. At stock speed it's twice as fast with Indigo as my old q6600.
Not that big increase with Vray though.
