well i finally could nail that down... it seems that RGC gets applied everytime the pic is used in a material .. this happens to the
pic in memory which already got RGC...hmm...
Ok here are the pics.
one material on one object..
different map for diffuse and bump..RGC of 2.2

looks OK to me ..

Ok here the same object twice with SAME material.

looks also OK ..
Now with two DIFFERENT materials using the SAME textures for diffuse and bump...


i found out that in the log you have four time "raising tex to power of 2.2"
So it seems the very same texture gets RGC two times... of course it will be too dark afterwards..

Ok here is what i get when i edit the xml to set RGC to 1.0 for the
second material only..

Ok now we are back to good ..

Hm any chance to have indigo check whether the pic has been raised or not....cuase in the end if you use the same pic for diffuse and bump
you end up with textures that get 4times RGC...

On sinple scenes this does not make any problems.. but the more complex your materials and scenes get the more you will have to check that..
