Win10 issues?

Post by Namielus » Mon Aug 17, 2015 7:34 am

Has anyone successfully upgraded to win10 without issues with Indigo Renderer?
The scheduling on my computer was messed up so I got win10 before I wanted to.

Indigo Renderer is now broken, the samples per second just keeps dropping to zero and the picture never updates.

No error messages, then Indigo Renderer becomes unresponsive.

Ugh, that doesn't sound good. Have you tried pure CPU (not using the GPU).

What rendermode do you use?
GPU rendering?
Tried the erotica testscene (since it should always work!)?

I usually use Path Tracing with GPU no matter what I render. In the computer that is has been win10 "infested" I am running a gtx 980 usually in CUDA mode - but I recently discovered that OpenCL is actually faster.

Trying the same scenes with straight cpu rendering Bidirectional with MLT seemed to work.
Reebooted the computer several times, but didnt have install files to try a reinstall.

The result in the rendering update window was a black and white silhouete of the scene, and it never updated. The samples/s started from around 600samples/s which is around half the usual, never updated the scene and just dropped to 0 samples. THen after a while just crashed.

its 99% chance of being a driver issue!
Grab the latest drivers here: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/gef ... nload.html

The old GPU render mode is quite... well... better wait for Indigo 4 ;)
