You have to resume on exactly the same scene :)

I didn't explain this b4 sorry.
The image file .igi only contains the rendered image so far.
It doesn't contain information on what scene you were rendering or other settings. So u have to make sure you are rendering the same scene (set scenefilepath the same in the inifile) when u resume.

yes, your way works as well.
The important thing is to choose the correct scene xml file!
