Has something changed in OBJ loading code?

Post by suvakas » Tue May 15, 2007 4:30 am

I have a scene, that renders out fine in version 07 final, but gives me this error message in 8t3.

Code: Select all

Fatal Error: SceneLoaderExcep: CSModelLoaderExcep: ModelFormatDecoderExcep for model 'F:\indigo_08_test3\Exported_From_Max\Obj\Plane01.obj': syntax error: no integer following '/' (line 754) (In element 'mesh', around line 3, column 5)
No BIH tree used in 8t3. The model that gives the error has only 500 polys.

Is it a bug or a feature?
Thanks!

It's a syntax error while parsing the .obj file.
Can you paste line 754 of the Plane01.obj file?

Here is the line 754:

Code: Select all

f 1//1 2//2 7//7
Seems ok to me  Integers are there after every '/'
The OBJ is in attachment. (obj extension renamed to igs to bypass the upload format check)

Tested again and it really renders out fine in version 07.

Ok, I think i'm assuming there's a number after every '/'.
Not sure if that is a valid assumption or not.
