[REQ]master slave auto file transfer

Post by m1j » Fri Feb 23, 2007 7:25 am

It would be nice if the slaves systems did not have to have a copy of the scene. The mastor would transfer all needed files through the master slave connection and the result would be transfered back.

imagine you have a really big scene and you are going to render it
with lets say 10 computers in your network. HUGE file transfers.
i think this would be too much for a network.
but a good idea for not-so-big scenes

standard routers may not be powerful beasts, but if you have a computer acting as the hub that actually is a prity good idea just to keep the work i(we) havet to do down.

My main thoughts on this are,
why do it in Indigo when modern OS's / file systems can do it for you :)
