Subdivisions and Displacement maps

Post by thednx » Tue Apr 23, 2013 4:25 am

Hi,

another thing: i read similar posts in the forums, didnt find an answer:

when subdividing an object with a displacement map active on that object, the resulting mesh in Indigo gets...weird? see screenshot. I am experimenting with UVs and found this interesting.

With the newest Indigo exporter and render, Blender 2.66. Also with older versions.

Looks like there is no subdivision at all!
In the Indigo GUI set you material during rendering to diffuse and activate checkbox on the bottom to use random triangle color.

I second Zom-B.

Displacement works on points.
Subdivision is a separate process, adding more points to the mesh. This step was skipped it seems.
