Back inside

Post by enricocerica » Sat Apr 12, 2008 4:07 am

Hi,

Back to more conventional works. Nothing special here, I started this interior modelling some times ago as a new reference scene for various renderings and for experimenting interior mood. So here is a first serie of images using mesh lights for illumination. Once again rendering times are quite huge, as usually with many mesh lights. Some images were still noisy after about 48h for some of them and I removed the noise with the Violet tools (first time I used it and it's very useful as long as you produce an igi file) or neat image. Images are rendered in 1680x1050, 1024x1024 or 900x1200 dependiing on the format. I'm preparing another serie with some sun light renderings.

Modelled with Blender
Rendered with Indigo 1.09
Some postpro with Violet 0.3, Neat Image and Gimp

Gorgeous.

EDIT:

I especially like the little yellow table with the light coming out of it.

Thanks to all for your comments.

As pointed by BbB on Blenderartits forum, the concrete material on the floor was a bit flat. I created a spec map with crazybump and recalculated this part of the image. The result seems to be better. We should always take time to create spec maps for this type of material if it generates some reflection, it highly improve the result.
