Street and subway station

Post by Vanessa07 » Wed Feb 06, 2008 6:47 am

Hi all, here is my last work, a subway station. I just finished one render, a next one is in progress (inside subway station) :D

The anti reflect glass was for this work, will test later :?

Grand! Glad someone else has got addicted to extruding facades.
You got to dirty up this road surface and perhaps tone down the reflectivity. But it's looking good.

It's really good :D
two points to add to what BbB said:
The street texture has quite visible tiling. Any chance that you find a better map? I know, it's hard to find good textures, aimed for big areas... if you don't find any, it's ok.

the tree leaves look a bit strange. something is wrong with them, don't ask me. But when you're on it: It's very unlikely that the leaves are scattered around the trees in this small radius. You can use them for dirtying up the street :)

Cool. Nice and dirty. I like it. Feels a bit bare, still. But maybe that's a good thing. It focuses the eye on the essential.

Looks good Vanessa! :) The only thing I have to mention is the sky appears burnt out (burnt to white) in some renders. This is caused by too much tonemapping. I see it often in renders and it makes me sad because Indigo can display a nice realistic sky.
