@ Macrob: use post production bloom of some sort (violet has them built in)

lol, nope, THAT's glare

bloom is a light "disk"
a shine around bright stuff^^
both isn't perfectly realistic, though.
I wonder, how hard it would be, to calculate "real" bloom + glare, while rendering, instead of making it post-processed...
