Wow, this one is just outstanding
So bad that you still got a so big turbidity zone.

Will try some postwork for fun, but the contrast is better in this new render.

Dom

My version, i try to reduce the white zone in the sky :

I like domparis' version best because it clearly shows the hot weather with its saturated colors.

I don't really like the other version because the colors are all washed out (sorry).

Can't give it a try myself because my desktop system exploded a few days ago... (typing this from a laptop)

Nice scene btw :)

Edit: oh wait.. the original scene was already pretty much like that :P
Well, stil like it better. The other ones are more like it's cold there.

Well this was fun. Wee!

Edit: I wish I could see the other entries but for some reason each image takes about 1/2 an hour to load.

Thanks, the radiance pic is so fun to tweak, love the manitwo and neepneep version too, the CTZn seems too cold, but i have read in an other post that he change the gamma to 2.2, i not an expert but perhaps we need to adjust it to g1.0 to well appreciate it ??

Full rez here :

Not only I corrected gamma, but I lowered saturation intentionally, as the effect of strong sun was to wash colours out I thought. I'm more trying to match reality than getting pimpy colours... But I agree I was a bit harsh on the green layer as I did that on the last minute. The original image has far too strong yellows where it's not sky.

My turn to be sorry, but every image where the walls are kinda orange make me feel like colour is overflowing, this saturation I see just doesn't exist, but I wonder how many of us have CRT screens here, and correct gamma set for drivers (basically 2.2 for pc) ... maybe just an output issue... I would like to see my images on your display, and I would like you to see your images on my display :)

dang, radiance! That's one sweet render! The grass is likely some of the best CG grass I've seen! The only (very minor) thing I'd tweak (other than the previously mentioned B of P plants) is to put a stucco texture on the pink walls. Other than that, it rocks! :!: :!: :!:

Cool zsouthboy, nice try, the vignette effect is well done, that reinforce the focus, and you did a good overall color balance !!

@CTZn : Yeah, i working on a tft screen, that not the best for this type of work, and don't know so much about all the techies around gamma/linear/sRGB color conversion, pretty obscure for me :?

[OT]

At the end most people have TFT displays by now, so I got to accept my entries are not pleasing to see for most people  btw me too have some gaps about gamma spaces, but I can say average TFT and gamers just got it wrong
