Thanks Tom

,
The Skindigo plugin Whaat made for Sketchup has an instancing/proxies feature.
Basically you populate the scene with low poly 'dummies' which are automatically replaced by the high poly components (trees, etc...) at export to the render engine. You can find more info in the SU section of this forum.
A rendered still of one of the animation frames in my previous post:

HI Kwisten! i think the video is really interesting! The only thing that bothers me a little is the fast black flash showing each (around) 10 seconds. BTW, i'm really gonna ask you some lessons about animations

: you seem to get them working just the way i'd like to too!
I love the brownish tiles mat, and the little vase with the flower: could it be shared, if i don't bother you too much?

Thanks BbB and Pibuz.
Indeed, the black flashes are disturbing...it was an experiment....I still need to learn a bit about cinematics. Getting a decent animation is not as easy as I thought. But it is fun to learn.
I'll see about that vase (I'll PM the file later today).

A slightly overexposed still render of the same bathroom scene as the animation.
Render time 1.5 hours on Mac Pro:
