that's pretty high, the highest I've gone is like 17,000 but with plain MLT
it took that long for the caustics to fill out, but even then probably could have gone for longer!

Yeah I could have let this cook longer there was still a little noise in the caustics of the large prone glass and the coke filled glass. A very light touch with noise removal in photoshop cleared them up. I believe it probbably would have gone out to 300 hours easily before clearing completely.

When I do set up a final scene for the cut crystal set (got to model the other pieces yet) I will let it run until there is no noise remaining, I don't care how long it takes :lol:

brute force baby!

seeing how we have gone from C64 to quadcore in the timespan of my life so far. And how we are doing renders from the Amiga days in realtime now. It will probably be another 5 years before Indigo becomes usuable in terms of speed :)
