The only thing, you'd need to change (as mentioned, above, already) is the skin material!
higher scattering, I'd say!

Or you also could try (epi)-dermis stuff, which would be a more realistic, two layered approach, but hard to get right.

The last thing, you could try, with the skin, was, to make it as dr. bouvier leduc, for his leaf-material.
He blended SSS+Phong+Diffuse transmitter!
