VirtualDub's "Temporal Smoother" does just that. -It's very effective too.

blame SketchUp. It does not have this feature. Animation support in SketchUp is VERY limited.

the best way to make smooth transitions in sketchy seems to be by making your camera paths from bezier curves. there are plugins around for this. with proper segment count and length your transitions can be very nice!

awesome animations kwistenbiebel, keep it up! :D

Awesome. Would be better if you could let each frame cook for longer, esp on the tripod one. It was long but it was low quality. Me wants to see high quality :D

I'm on a laptop which is a slow render cow....Since these are my first steps in doing animation, I prefer experimenting with views and ways to build up an animaton. That's why low quality is more useful.
Once I get the hang of it, I will try to render one out in full quality.

A new animation experiment:

Bit noisy but again fun to make :)

And the sequel to the first Tripod experiment:

Nice :)
In the tripod vid, you still can see a lot of repetition in the trees :? But ok, you have so many of them, it surely is a lot of work to get them all a tiny bit differently orientated...

(btw, no, I didn't see him... :()

I like your tripods animation :) It'd be much easier to see "him" with higher framerate i think

I had some more fun and made a new short animation of some silly objects :).

About 150 frames.
Total render time took 200 minutes in total on my core2duo laptop.

Thanks CTZn :),

I tried to improve the 'Chick' animation and optimised it so it renders cleaner within the same time frame.

Also, I added a bit of a 'difficult relationships' theme to it :)

Below the video at the above youtube link , you can choose 'watch in high quality' so there is no quality loss when going fullscreen...

I hope you like it.

thats a shitload of geometry for the trees and plants! looks amazing! how did you manage that within sketchup?

i find anything over like 10 trees in Blender makes the thing uneditable, itd be cool to have forests n such!
