I don't know how to feel about your post. Most of the people in this thread put me to shame, and you put them to shame. Rather a steep clime I have indeed.

Jurasek: Hey mate! I must have been looking at this facade for a week, and I didn't even spot the guy! In retrospect, it would have been a cool idea to hide a little self-portrait somewhere! I'll steal that idea I think.

5OnIt: I do get a bit pissed off when I see a render I like and wished I had done/could do it. But then, as I said somewhere before, it pushes me to try and make the next one better.

I would say it's an illusion. Rotate the picture or your head or your
monitor 180° and you'll see it's right!

Right Psor and Kram tnx for explanation but if you don't rotate the image the illusion is very strong...better so Indigo works fine.

Yeah, most people do, but many people think that free also means crap.

When people ask me what software i use and i answer: Blender, Indigo and Gimp which is all free, they instantly assume, that it all sucks.

Such a shame.
I've tried both 3ds and Maya, and Blender still was the one i liked the most, but of course, that is a matter of preferences.
