i use cr.nk with exponent 10 (the first cylinder on the right) for brushed dull alu, and exp 200 or 500 for inox (left). on the center a photo of a bulthaup lamp like the one you took for your pic..

Yep, Marcofly, that's the lamp alright. I'm going to render another angle on this kitchen later this week and have another go at the metals.

great work bbb! the bottom one is flawless. how long was the render time? only crit is that the apple doesnt look right

perhaps a bit more reflective.

Thanks Matsta. Render time was about 10 hours on a quad. It needed that, though, because of the large resolution. In fact, it's still a bit grainy up close at full-res and it could have done with another 10 hours.

Cheers guys. I've updated the first page with a new angle on the kitchen. I tried to tweak my metals, only to realise I'd made the stove shiny
Too bad, must give my rig a rest now.
