Which is why it's Merlot and not Pinot Noir!

Lol,, it looks like dark blood - not very transparent.

Couldn't it be the background? It's too uniform, except those tiny blurry lines of the xml. :)

a laptop screen really doesn't put out that much light, so in a room lit only by monitor, red wine probably would look very dark?

How do you feel about MoI, Ono? Was wondering about your thoughts on it.

Being able to do real boolean operations between objects was such a huge change for me, coming from modelling in blender, where boolean functions don't work so well.

I love it.

I haven't shut up about MoI since (BbB?) introduced it to me. :D

it's a screenshot, so, it's pixel colour based and not based on the actual brightness of the screen, is it?

That depends on the values, that are used for this...

Well, i'm a total modelling amateur, so not really the one to ask. I did manage to successfully make this wine glass in one sitting tho, so that counts for something.
MoI is a million times more intuitive than Blender, that's for sure.

Nice to see some renders from Ono. Seems to be too dark, but as mentioned earlier, this could be due to wrong expectations. Seems to match the reference image pretty well, though!

What's MoI?

Btw: Who is this triple posting Ono spamming guy? I vote to ban him from this forum!

If it's too dark I think it's a matter of lighting setup.

In real life there is a lot of indirect lighting contributing to pictures, you've got to set it up. And a strong rim light (back light) is also strongly recommended for transparent mats, say wine. I trust pretty much Ono for mats settings, looks ok to me ;)

Edit: also the current light scheme is not efficient, the desktop image has low dynamics -> weak and even energy -> no light passes through.

Ono U really need to use a studio setup !!!
