render time amounts about 30 hours on a 3.4GHz CPU with 1Gb RAM

he he, great idea Den... just some thoughts:

- the compression of the Video sucks so hard that you even can't see any noise from the rendering :?
- the BumpMap on the walls should be inverted...

Please post a version with higher kbps!

my suggestions:
1) The melons are kinda HIGHreflective - I'd say, you should make them glossier
2) they need some bounce :D
else, a very great example :D
