A small project of me, unfortunately somewhat in a diffuse way.

Erm... that seriously looks like a photo (the top image)
It's actually indistinguishable to me.
It's a render, right?
Postwork is nice, but it brings out too much noise IMHO.

Thank you, I give my best. I am only occupied for 4 months with 3d moddeling and cgi. It is very complicated. Your opinion interests me much. For criticism I am grateful. I hope it please somewhat. The second picture should look like an old photo, me however did not succeed.

I find the DoF in this shot a bit out of place - the viewer's eye is drawn to the doors at the top of the stairs, but they're out of focus, so its kind of a "let down". Rather than change the DoF, however, I'd suggest putting a small eye-catching center of interest partway up the staircase (some random object, like a potted flower or somesuch) to keep the viewer's interest (and maybe even tell a bit of a story in the process... )

The other aspect that I found a bit unrealistic is the extreme "flare" or bright spot on the walls around the neon light fixtures. It looks like there are spotlights shining at them from accross the scene. This may just be the way indigo's rendering them, which I guess must be "realistic" - they just don't look that way to me. Kinda distracting.

Very nice work, otherwise, depending on the target audience and intent of the piece.

Thanks for your opinion ! :D

Yes, with the camera focusing I am still whole at the beginning. The DOF attitudes is too high, believes therefore the picture became so indistinct. The tonemapping was reinhard, I believes the values is too high. Therefore that unrealistically brightens light at the walls. The materials is me succeeded like I it having also not in such a way wanted.

But it can become only better.

I really like the postprocessed image, ... it reminds me of
some kind of horror movie. And I'm not sure if I would like
to get the stairs up to find out what's behind that door.

take care
