Hi guys,
Here is a personal test again this time : orange juice !
Rendertime : 3H
I did download the materials and modify them a little bit, the juice shader is nice even if i'm not totally satisfied with it, but it should be optimized a little bit... also i love the fast displacement ( orange slice ) especially in my old pc

, also i love playing with the light selections in realtime without restart render, you rock guys !
Hope you like it !

Stunning!
Maybe you could try to activate some cauchy values for the Glass and the drops to increase realism.
Plus, the orange might need a little bit SSS...
really fantastic!
How did you Place the drops?

Thanks !
the cauchy stuff i've prefere to avoid it cause it slows the rendertime especially with my old config, but i agree it will make a great realistic difference.
Will test more with the juice SSS next time i'll see if i will have more acceptable result!

The water drops were done with particle system Parray+ metaballs as type of particles + sub selections and converted to a mesh using Mesher...
but i've found a strange problem with the water drops in the orange slice before i delete them : the water shader of thoses waterdrops were dark not transparent i don't know why, i did modify it but no luck .

Cheers for the kind words, and that's a really nice render

Methinks you'd have a real party after you upgrade that Q6600!
BTW my advice for the rendering mode here is (single-directional) path tracing with MLT, should be really effective in this scene (MLT likes the black background, singledir does the SSS well).

beautiful render and REALLY nice drops!
I posted my render of a drink here not too long ago and struggled so much with the drops that I eventually gave up.
nice work
