error when trying to render scene, please help

Post by cwashington » Sun Aug 29, 2010 1:42 am

I'm new to the whole rendering process and I'm trying to follow the intructions in the manual to get myself familiar with the program. I have been trying to render the scene, but I keep getting an error:

ObjectExcep: Emitting object has zero total luminous flux.

I'm not sure what it is referring to. I only just added a lamp to the scene and I was receiving this error before then, so I'm not sure if it is referring to the light coming in from the window. I would appreciate any help. thank you.

Hey cwashington,

apparently your light source does not emit any light and Indigo does not like that.

What exporter are you using?

doing some research, I realized it was from a material that had been converted and whose preference "emission" was left unchecked.
Now it works!
