Issue with linux version

Hello all,

I just tried the linux version for the first time.

I have the following issue : it complains not finding 'nkdata\Al.nk'. The file is there inside indigo dir, and the lettercase is OK. What's the issue?


I have also the following minor problem : I need to start the indigo binary from the indigo dir. I cannot do "~user\indigo_dir\indigo", otherwise it does not find its data files (such as infile.xml).

Ouch, it comes from the backslash which is not unix-friendly. This means that many database materials must be corrected for working under linux (both lettercase and backslashes are not ok). This is not convenient!

All nk references should be written with the correct case and with forwards slash! Indigo should handle incorrect paths in this case, though.

For instance, the "Brushed Aluminium" material from the database is not linux-compatible.

Some questions:
- Could the material db autocorrect the slashes from the uploaded materials?
- Does the material editor in windows always write correct slashes and lettercases?
- Does all exporters take care of this? I guess not. This may be an issue for network rendering on linux slaves, as they will not find the nkdatas

Hi Etienne,
The easiest solution is for Indigo to handle the incorrect slashes and convert them, and is something I've been meaning to do for a while.
