Saving correclty the current image has never been an issue.
What we're saying here is that autosaving the current state of the render as you see it in the GUI comes in handy sometimes. Would be cool if it was reintroduced, if possible.
EDIT: same as tar_gnik. Cool, thanks!

Hi guys,
I think there may be a misunderstanding here.
The auto-saved image should indeed *eventually* be updated to look the same as the image you see in the GUI, with all the same tonemapping, whitepoint settings etc..
However, you do need to wait for X seconds, until the image is auto-saved. This only happens every X seconds (where X is the 'Image save period' in the options menu.).
Making a change to e.g. the tonemapping will *not* cause the auto-saved image to be updated immediately. You still have to wait.

Thanks for that, issue resolved. However, in my defence, I did have one eye on the render log to see when Indigo was updating the auto-image. I was aware it was not immediate.

Hey Ono, maybe autosaving could be paused when rendering is paused too.
atm, the interval keeps going even during pause... isn't actually the idea behind the concept of a pause
