Dear all,
I cannot find how to change the default indigo working directory, where renders, cache, etc.. are stored. Currently it is in my User profile\Application data\indigo directory
I'ts quite an issue for me in my professionnal work : my profile directory is auto-backuped and should not be too big. So I want to keep large files in another partition with lot of space and no auto-backup.
Thanks!
Etienne

Re: Change the working directory
This location was used since in other directorys Indigo wasn't allowed to write data into on some systems.
But I also think that a option for advanced users that know what they are doing would be a good Idea!
Only workarround atm would be to disable any chaching for Indigo in your Exporter and set custom save & Export paths for your scene.
I for myself use the cleaning app CCleaner, where I also configured the tdcache etc. folders and my allways used scene export-folder to get emptied during cleaning...

Hey,
we are aware of this issue and were discussing adding an option for a custom default save path to the gui.

Re: Change the working directory
This has been asked for a few times in the past, probably mostly by me!, so it's great to see that some advanced option allowing it is going to be implemented
BTW this really is a professional requirement that I am amazed wasn't implemented ages ago - just my 2 pence worth

Re: Change the working directory
A simple registry key with the path to the indigo working dir, automatically set to the user profile at first indigo start, should be a quick hack working for us, and letting the current behavior unchanged.
Thanks!
