Network Rendering Problem

Post by feitsu » Thu Jun 07, 2012 1:38 am

Hi everyone!

I've been trying to use the Network rendering and it always declares Exception:

Referenced node did not have type SceneNodeMesh.

I've tried to reinstall Indigo in the trial computers so that they all have the same version 3.2.13 but still it doesn't work... The same scene works seperately in each of the computer... I just cannot figure out the reason :x . Somebody can lend a hand?? I would be sooooo thankful.

Can you please email us the packed scene (PIGS format), or put it on dropbox? Thanks!

Thanks for your willingness to help! :D

Well...it's a bit of complicated for me to send the scene. Actually for confidential reasons of the company I work for, I cannot send it just for my own wish.... (Hope u understand).

Instead, I would like some explaination of the Exception problem like many others I bet  (I searched the keyword SceneNodeMesh on the site but there was 0 result).

Ok.
What exporter did you use?
It sounds like some scene node UIDs may be invalid in the exported scene.

The exporter we use is Maxigo 2.6 and the scenes were built with 3ds Max 2012. Could it be a problem that the Scene was originally created in 3ds Max 2011 but later re-exported with 3ds Max 2012? :?

That does indeed sound like an Indigo-2.x version of Maxigo; there's a newer 3.0.7 version which should work with the newer Indigo versions: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =9&t=10892
