just a few days ago i discovered the great indigo-renderer. i'm using version 0.62 together with c4d.
this is one of my very first renders:

i know it's still quite simple and very noisy, but hey, it's just a test.
nevertheless i've got some little questions and it would be great if you "pros" could answer them.

first, i miss shadows in my picture. the scene is illuminated by a skylight and the sun is in the right position to show shadows. but most of the light seems to come from the sky itself and not from the sun. could you tell me what are the right settings for a nice and clear summer day? perhaps radiance could provide the sky-setting of his pool scene, it looks really great.
my second question concerns the water. it's so intransparent! i use kind of a standart water material (ior=1.333, cauchy b=0, very little red absorbtion). sure, looking from such a low angle it's realistic to have near total reflection but i thought i could reduce that effect by lowering the normal reflectance. so i put it to 0.04 with no visible effect. anyone got an idea how i can see at least a little of the ground and perhaps some nice caustics (without faking them with a texture)?
okay, i hope i didn't write too much for my first post.
