I think it took about 14 hours... could have gone longer (as with the rest) but it was just a test.

@nyob: Wow ive been trying to make a scene just like your Prism test. Would you mind sharing the XML file so i can have a look at it to see what im doing wrong?

Hmm... Obviously i lack some knowledge... my xml seems fine... i just cant seem to get the powerful beam of light... I used a meshlight, but it doesnt want to light up lol anyway ill figure it out. Thanks for sharing!

The trick is to get the emitter to be inside of a box with a slit to get a straight beam.

Yes thats what i did, but i get a beam that spreads really wide. Im trying to put a lens to straighten it, but im having trouble getting a parabolic curve lol

I looks like your slit is only at the opening? It needs to be extended like a recangular causeway for the light to travel through along the length.

Another SpeedModel...
.6 test 4 _ no exporter - 6hours (looked OK at 2h)
I compared the render to one I tried in the maxwell demo - looks almost identical - makes me happy
jurasek: sorry I didn't answer. The setup is fairly simple - 2 planar meshlights about 100 degrees apart (with object in center) and a ground that curves up in the back at about 10-20 degrees.
