Milk (again)

Post by mrCarnivore » Sat Mar 24, 2007 10:24 pm

I didn't want to steal the other thread any more and I'm trying to perfect a milk material myself.

Here are 4 shots at producing milk. Which one do you think is best?

I didn't really look at this: Is it his first project?
(Maybe I should ask you directly :P Is it you first?)

Milky? That's an answer, that could come from my father :P

"How was the car show?" "Carshowish" or so xD

the light comes from 3 rectangular meshlights from the left, right and top. The left and top one are at 400 Watts and 1,1,1 white. The right one at 100 Watts and 0.5,0.5,0.5 grey.

The left one is derived from the sss-absorb-list from the paper that's somewhere in this forum and the right one is using the maxwell settings that somebody posted in this forum.
In the top renderings I also used henley-greenstein values from the sss-paper for both materials.

scale of the glass is about 8 cm wide.

left glass is:
absorb = 0.030 0.050 0.120 50
sss = 0.108 0.122 0.140 5000

right glass:
absorb = 0.014 0.025 0.142 50
sss = 0.070 0.122 0.190 5000

It's my second half indigo project. My first indigo project was the whiskey glass (still wip).
