The medium uses the techniques from Jensen's latest skin SSS paper, altho this is just the dermis medium (no epidermis)
Render time: 5 hours.
I'll probably try coding a fast SSS material soon, so we won't have to wait 5 hours for a noisy image

Did u use bump mapping here ? if yes, it's possible with the specular mat in the current test 2 ?

i can wait if the result is true to life SSS.
plus, i have had similar render times for just scenes with glass.
i dont know what a hand looks like without the eppidermis, but i imagine this is it.
