Yes ! The mesh is from a spiral curve wich I closed, extruding some curved shape. Blackbody for base_emission, red green blue lerp (with "tartan" placement, kind of a scottish fabric pattern based on initial lerp colors) as emission. I think a f-stop of 8 is pretty high, but I was just after the effect.

Reminds the effect what you get when you take a pic of a moving light source with low shutter speed. (in real life I mean)

hey guys, just a quick test render checking the workingnessness of my new infinity screen setup :D im also playing around with some splashy fluids now :D any one know how to get blender fluids to conform to the sides of your glass exactly so that you can scale a bit after baking so that it intersects the glass correctly, my liquids arent playing ball atm, and anything higher than 200 res crashes blender :/

HALP! :P

try to max the particle count and stuff... that doesn't really use extra resources but enhances the quality :)

Eh, you mean the teapot image?
The material is phong with IOR = 1.5 and exponent = 10000. Basic stuff.

Code: Select all

<material>
	<name>teapot</name>
	<phong>
		<ior>1.5</ior>
		<exponent>
	 	  <constant>10000</constant>
		</exponent>
	 <diffuse_albedo>
	  <constant>
		<rgb>
		<rgb>1.0 0.4 0.0</rgb>
		<gamma>2.2</gamma>
		</rgb>
	  </constant>
	 </diffuse_albedo>
	</phong>
</material>
Here's a shot of the lighting rig. (all the white objects are emitters)

Thanks :)
Well.. the emitters are all blackbody lights with color temperature set to 3075. But I fooled around with the color of the right emitter during rendering using light layers, so I'm not sure what the final value for it was.
