Maybe add a games console ;) something old fashioned (but subtle) to contrast with everything else.

Hmm, I felt the room was a little too clean before, I find the toys made it feel more "real", like someone actually lives there. I guess Ill add a game console too, that was suppost to be the Nintendo "wii" next to the dual DVD setup, you can't se it very well though.

Antoher thing I was thinking of, maybe a wood sclupture? Or a wood vase?

Oh, By the way, more or less like the final room will look like.

This render is coming along, great! Good job.

My two cents: what about an area rug in front of the tv? There will still be plenty of wood floor to show off and a rug would be more realistic (in my own experience).

2 things you could think about:
- the position of the camera is a bit high
- the floor is maybe too reflective

but thats only my opinion. if you like it that way leave it as it is. :D
good work BZ!

Yeah, I need to fix the floor, its waaay too shiny, but I always forget about it :E And yeah, I guess Ill add a rug, getting the material right may be a pain though...

I have a quick question, I was wondering how to make the room brighter?

This is my current lighting setup:

And, here is a 19h HD render:

skylights would really brighten it up, also make it seem bigger. try punching some holes in the ceiling.

Oh, they are there :p

they are the odd frames that you can see in the roof. (kind of beside the weird chandelier and the back celing fan)

I don't understand how it is too low, it is at a level of eight feet, the same level of my ceiling :\

Maybe I live in a hobbits house :p

Anyways... :P

I made the floor less shiny and changed the wood texture on the mini bar lighter, ill post pics when the render looks less like popcorn :E

8 feet how is in meters?
a conversion please.....
my house is 2.10 meters tall...maybe the objects are too high....think about your scale....

Eight feet is about 2.4 meters, I think the problems lies in my TV cabinet, becuase in real life that would be about a 70inch television, so thats probably whats throwing you off?

EDIT: starting final daytime render now, ill let it sit for 2 days or so.

Then, Ill work on the nighttime render, with the tv going, and the lights :D

I think it's the window that makes everything look weird, if you made it smaller the scene would probably look more normal or just divide it in two.
