Can't you fix that blue touch by correcting the white point?
You even can overdo it a bit and make it slightly red, that way ;) (which might look better than a cold blue or pure white)

however, the uniform background colour light kills the scene.
1. there's no shadows
2. there's not enough contrast
3. the guitar doesn't look nice and shiny, like guitars ought to

even an HDRI would be better than uniform BG light.
1. Yeah, it sucks.
2. Sucks also.
3. Actually, this model is very diffuse and the material is pretty close to the original, but i will make it shinier for artistic purposes.

I'll play around with different types of lighting when i get time. :)

It is possible to kill the blueish look with white point, but with sun+sky i can get two different types of images:

1. All too sharp shadows we often see with sun images outside.
2. If i put a roof on it, I'll get exactly the same result like i did with background color.

I guess the way maybe is an environment map and an emitter or something just to make some shadows.
Ill see what i get.

Put it on a guitar stand and into a dark room (possibly a stage) and put it in a nice, smoky atmosphere under a spotlight :D

I'll give it a try when I'm finished with this render. :D

For sunlight with soft shadows I've had some success with surrounding the scene with a dome, the material of which is a blend between glass (transparent) and diffuse transmitter. It only takes a small percentage of DT to kill the shadows completely though.

You can also colour the diffuse transmitter part to add a colour tint to the scene.

edit: also, an SSS dome works nicely as a diffuser.

Here's another test.
This time it is lighted with the NVidia Human head.exr and an emitter.

It has got some shadows and more contrast, and it doesnt look like it is hovering anymore = victory.

But as you can see on the image below (left image is scaled down, right image is rendered size) there is a hell lot of something that looks like fireflies.
They seem to increase rather than decrease the longer it renders, and if it is fireflies, then i have to get rid of them somehow.

Besides that, the materials is still not quite as i want them, but it really takes some time when you have to wait 5 hours (damn you old crappy computer!) too get an idea of how they look.

And at last i still have to put some details and stuff to make the background a little more interesting.

I don't know if those are fireflies but the humanhead exr gives me exactly that kind of artifacts.
Try a different probe.

Here's a final render.
I'm still not satisfied with the way the body-material came out, but I'll do another render with a broken vodka bottle and stuff too, and maybe give the foggy scene a try too, so I'll have a chance to sort it out there.

Well, here it is:
