great modeling!
only one thing attracted my attention:
Are those two big cable glands in the front closed? Looking at your reference pic and for example at the folowing link - they must have an aperture for the cabel to go through.

thanks alot BbB
hehe already had my first attempt at cabling :S didnt work to well made them to small which in turn made the entire proportion look to large so, take 2

should be better the second time round. MoI is so much better for cabling then blender. its not even comparable!

Wheres the problem when modeling cables with Blender?
Use curves, extrude them with a curve circle and you have your cable.

Better with bevel function with this solution don't need circle curve for shape.
Pinko.

Alex: Could you elaborate on that a bit, please? I'm interested but I can't really follow what you mean by "extrude them with a curve circle"...

I believe you can add a curve modifier to another curve in such a way that the modifier is extruded along the curve.

ok well all i know is that wires in moi involve. 1 curve. and a circle. and its really easy to change. i really didnt like blenders setup. i find the control much easier in moi.
to each his own

I agree with you, and use MoI for the task; I was simply stating that I believe there is a way to do that in Blender

Sorry to keep you waiting Matsta. I kind of would prefer the Blender file, I guess. That'd save me a few manipulations. But it depends on the size. How big is it zipped? Could you upload it here?
