Ono: The nitrile material is posted in the material library if you want to investigate. I commented there that it was darker than it should be and at the time I thought it was just due to the size of the object in the preview scene...

But now that you've mentioned it the outer edge of the cap could use some heavier bevelling which would then force the socket to be adjusted to a smaller diameter...
