An updated render and an image of what it currently looks like in reality. :)

Are you really about to place a fireplace within a wood structure ?

The render is very nice anyway.

Seriously? How do you think 90% of people have fireplaces in their houses?

You obviously mean "90% of people in North America". :)

Keep 'em coming, Whaat. :)

I know, stick framing is not that common in Europe yet. But look at the old Southern mansions with their 50 fireplaces, it's been done for hundreds of years.

But to get back on topic, it's looking clean and realistic! The only thing that pops out at me is that the leather chair doesn't have any seams where the leather parts come together or anything. Most chairs aren't made out of a single piece of leather ;) The material looks pretty good, though...

I think the camera angle bothers me a bit too... It seems kind of random, like there hasn't been an attempt at composition. I know it's more like 'what will we see when we come down the stairs', but as an image it seems to lack that.

Well, the drywall is currently being installed. :D Currently, I am using Indigo to help choose and visualize mouldings... (will try to post a cleaner render later...)
