Yes, I'm going to add some junk around once I'm done with the bigger elements. I also want to add details to the main construction on the left (pipes, cables, ramps, light fixtures, a few signs perhaps...)
Good point about the cylinders. Will define them a bit more...

What do you think guys : should we open another sub-forum dedicaced to BbB's renders ?!

Geez, that last one is impressive. Tell me, how many arms do you have ? Honestly, producing such an amount of stunning work in such a short time is insane !
I cant' see anything to critic, well maybe a bit of bevel on the foreground concrete even if you want to keep the polycount low.
The texturing is just perfect.

I don't know where you're heading, do you plan to leave it realistic, as it is, or will you add a bit of surrealism ? I'd would love to see some strange fluorescent liquid flowing from a pipe in the water for instance. Maybe a bit of dead vegetation would fit also.

Also this is a perfect scene to test all kind of different lightings I think.

Keep up the good work !

Thanks Doctor. I think I'll be headed towards a slight sci-fi direction. Near-future kind of thing. I want to work on a craft or two to populate this scene, and perhaps a couple of characters. We'll see.

(Whatever happened to the Lake Side Villa? We're all eager for more updates on this one)

I get weird light effects when bringing the sun too close to the horizon... Things turn either completely yellow or purple.

Make sure your sky turbidity is between 2 and 6

Really great, as always.

I was thinking that maybe a bent and broken/rusty ladder going down into the water might be kind of cool?

and maybe a more post-apocalyptic sky/reddish or something? but its great now I think!

Is this from a photograph somewhere, or you hang around these places? :D

This is a nice project you started there and it is already great. The textures are very well choosen. I like these industrial environments, it reminds me some places here in Liège along "La Meuse". IMO you should leave it realistic with plenty of details and I would work on the atmosphere, low heavy sky and some industry smokes on background.

The ladder is indeed on my to-do list. I'll play with the sky too when I'm done with the scene. I'm using references from CGTextures to model the various buildings. I'm also drawing some general inspiration from the wonderful science-fiction images of Rochr (http://www.rochr.com/).

The direction (sci-fi or realistic) remains open although I tend more towards the former. If I go for a more futuristic scene, it will remain on the realistic side, though. Enough to be plausible anyway.

Looks great BbB! Texturing is awesome like always. I'd like to see some crates, vines, more industrial things laying around, but I'm sure you have something in mind.
