Re: synthetic photography
you may not change the aperture size but you can change the size of the world
Re: synthetic photography
A complete "catástrofe".
Really appreciate mate!

Re: synthetic photography
Is imposible to use luxcore metropolis algorythm for this purpose...
Camera objectives adapted to move the body objective and the camera vacuum accordly to the position of the focus groups. You must close and reopen cinema 4D in every alembic change from houdini but it is ok.
If there is presence of another gas in the scene (atmosphere or wahtever), camera vacuum don´t work.
The sigma 56 mm works better because all the lenses are spheric. In the canon 24 mm, the lense two and the lense thirteen are aspheric (neither parabolic). One curve in the thirteen lense is very difficult to represent and introduces a lot of spheric aberration in the focus.
IOR s of the sigma in order now...
Probably I give an actualized version of the objectives soon...

Protoestudios (O-55).
Work in progress. I will try to care the finished artwork thread.
Working deeper with houdini. I´m translating the proyect from cinema to houdini in order to get a "finished" one.
Later we see anothers correlative proyects like C-72, or S-33...
Sigma 56 mm mounted in a canon EF-M.
APS-C canon (22.1 mm wide), format panavision vertical.
8K resized to 4K.
1 hour.
A lot of things to do after render a complete study.

An example of code to scatter in an altitude range and slope...
In proto_object_group, geometry_uid, change the number for the number of the meshes to scatter.
In material_uid, change the number for the number of the materials of the meshes scattered.
In the target_object_uid, change the number for the number of the model2 to scatter on.
The internal scatter of indigo is powerful, but it is uncomfortable...
Code: Select all

<uid>10000</uid>

<shader>
<shader>
def evalScale(int index) real :

def evalCreate(int index, vec3 pos) bool :
let
D = pos.z
distanceAbove = -5.0
distanceBelow = -37.0
above = D > distanceAbove
below = D < distanceBelow
noinstances = (below||above)

else normalWS(env).z > 0.5

Flange focal distance rectify from 18 mm to 22 mm.

Atmospheric simulation.
Landscape of 10 km x 10 km (partially instanced).
Clouds box of 80 km x 80 km x 1 km (not a problem with mie cumulus).
A decent artistycal-arquitectural proyect.
Synthetic photography, ...
A materialized dream for me!

Re: synthetic photography
Nice!!
Re: synthetic photography
Thanks pixie, for me is nice too, but a little bit far still.
For example all that involves the landscape is still in development. To introduce another species, to clarify some zones in altitude limits to avoid straight lines, introduces yellows and oranges, more kind of stones, maybe a trunk tree floating, ... ...
The lake has 4.5 million of quads now, is good.
The clouds, uniform spectrum, are good (clouds box of 150 x 150 x 1 km).
The proyect is in a middle stage of development. Maybe even installations (almost electric for elevators and night illumination).
Sigma, 7:20 hours, 410 spp. Is in a perfect point of convergence in a 100% zoom. Canon, 5:00 hours, 230 spp. Focus plane stabilyzed. Will see the point of convergence of this objective.
Is a complete procedural proyect, I don´t model a polygon yet...
An image search gives sculpture- arquitecture. A bit out of point.

Re: synthetic photography
I will finish this part of landscape with a variety of species and give a couple of finished renders (the proyect O-55 is in a half stage, but is OK. To test some materials now).
I prefer the b/w image.
Canon 24 mm mounted in an EF canon.
Flange focal distance 43.5 mm instead of 44 mm (is because the deffect in the thirteen lense).
Crown glass CaF2, flint glass N-BaK1.
14 h, 630 spp, 8K downsized to 4K.
Film APS-C Canon (22.1 mm wide), format panavision.
Film cropped to 17 mm. Testing some things like lighting and materials... minor progesses... 1:30 hours, downsized to 2K.

Re: synthetic photography
The reason because I don´t change the perspective yet is very simple, there are patches of the landscape related to subdivision and scattering, all the scatters are related to altitude and the cam must be in 0,0,0 position, so I don´t have very room in this conditions... patient.

Re: synthetic photography
Here goes the two cams actualized.
Inside the file there is a text file to translate the non commercial file to a commercial one in order to export the alembic files. Connect the elements in the cinema 4D file. Also connect the materials of the canon lenses or translate it.
In order to focus, move in the houdini file to the first lenses of every group, search the transform node at the end and use the translate X box to setup the correct distance. All the groups and the diaphragm moves accordly. Is intuitive but difficult.
For every change in the alembic file you must close and reopen the cinema file.
You are able too to export every piece of the cameras like an obj file and set up the things manually.
You are free to use this cameras as you like, you are not stolen nothing from me with this file. NFT´s, commercial proyects, experiments, fun...
