The Beach House shows itself!

Post by Wedge » Sat Mar 17, 2007 2:58 pm

I did not want to do this yet but then I changed my mind. Here is the beach house that I created around 3-4 months ago. I spent some time fixing up the materials but there is still a lot of things wrong.

The house is a complete model. There is only one room though. The outside of the house is complete. The doors are rounded, which is not real in my opinion, but I made them this way anyways.

Todo:
O place wall lights in a different position
O rework door hinges
O rework doors as square?
O remove picture from frame and rework it
O add stool furniture around table
O rotate deck chairs to look less instanced
O fix position on deck lights near steps (looks like they are not placed high enough)
O place fake dog object somewhere else in scene?..maybe glass shelf?
O rework daggers on table
O hang ocean inspiring objects off from the wall just above main glass and doors (buoys?...crab traps?)
- smooth objects
- rework materials

- = need to work on
O = altered since render posted

Update: Final versions posted in the finished artwork section. Thanks!

Last Update before posting renders: This is my last update to the todo list before I start final renders. Some items were removed from the list because I changed my mind and decided not to work on them. As you can see, only materials and smoothing is left now and soon it will be finished. :)

Feel free to comment on this one. It is certainly a work in progress.

To Wedge:

Awesome.

To eman:

Just use the [c.ode] tag (without the period) on the forum, it uses a monospace font.

Why weird? He typed it in a non-monospace font in the reply editor. Just the spaces where different than in the font that is used in the forum, that's why it looked jagged...

To make it properly you need to use a monospace editor. Or you have to be good at counting and/or have too much free time. ;-)
